El-Rufai visits burnt Station market, promises to build modern one

El-RufaiGovernor Mallam Nasir El-rufai of Kaduna State, Tuesday, paid a visit to the Railway Station Market, which was burnt down by fire, with a promise to build a modern market for the people.
He said firefighters would also be provided in the proposed new market for prompt action during emergency situations.
The governor while describing the fire incident as most unfortunate, directed the State Emergency Agency to provide safety devices to avert further inferno in the area.
According to the governor: “It is most unfortunate that we continue to witness fire incidents. We sympathise with traders who lost their properties. We already have plan for this place. We will build modern market down the railway, with fire fighting unit for safety of lives and properties,” he said.
The market was completely burnt down early Tuesday morning by fire believed to be as a result of electrical fault.
